Children

Our Children are Important to
Bread of Life Christian Church!

What a joy our children are to our congregation on Sunday Mornings.
The children love to be with us, and they bless all of us by their bright faces, happy sounds, and limitless energy.

The children bless all of us by their bright faces, happy sounds, and limitless energy.

In order to intentionally care for them, a Children’s Ministry is established for our congregation, to give loving and reliable care for the children.  You say that you don’t think that your spiritual gift is working with children?  Jesus once said, “Let the children come to me, and do not stop them, for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs” (Matthew 19:14).  And at Bread of Life, the children often “teach us.”

When she was asked, “What are you thankful for today?” she answered, “My new shoes.”          Right from the very beginning of meeting on Sunday mornings for regular Worship Services there has been a powerful, but very simple, children’s worship service provided during Children’s Church.  Adult help is needed to be able to have Children’s Church every Sunday.  To assure continuation of this and to provide for future expansion to establish Youth Groups and other child oriented church involvement it has become evident that we must give focused, purposeful attention to these young beloved of God.

Children’s Church at Bread of Life Christian Church is a great opportunity for children to experience worshipping God Children’s Church is a great opportunity for children to experience worshipping God.by actually doing it every Sunday morning.  After the children’s moment in our worship service, the children go to their own room and play together, illustrate with paper and markers the Bible story they just heard, or play with the figures used to tell the Bible story.  Then after about 20 min., we put everything away and sit together in a circle, light the Christ’s candle and worship together.  We sing praise songs, we pray and we talk about the story we heard in the children’s moment.  Then we have a feast and share our joys and concerns.  After we are all done, we sing a benediction.

Children’s Church is a very meaningful time for our children.  They are learning what worship is all about by doing it every week.  The children always help remember what to do next.
